Watch or not: Must watch, Dangal is what I call an updated version of ChakDe India, which is the best sports drama of Bollywood, until now.

What’s good: Incredible performances by all the actors.


Dangal has everything in it which can entertain us, Seriousness is handled by the character of Aamir Khan while other supporting actors manage to handle the comedy part. It’s a Journey of Mahavir Singh Phogat and his two daughters Geeta and Babita from Unknown to well known, how a good father can change the whole life of his daughters is described in the story. Am not gonna say more about the story part because it will effect your entertainment while watching the movie.

Aamir Khan’s movies generally attack on social evils and this time the thinking of the Society regarding women especially in India is under radar, How in the starting of the movie all the Villagers said various things that girls should got not do wrestling and all but it was Mahavir’s Determination which bring gold along with the hardwork of Geeta and Babita. One message audience get is all the people who discourage you will gonna encourage you in the end when you succeed.

Another thing which get raised in the movie is how our Government and we people also not giving required support to various sports like Wrestling it Cricket every where and we need to Change. Mahavir Singh Phogat stop doing wrestling not because he loose or get injured but just because he was not earning money from it and he stop doing it to get a Office job.

So the movie is full of messages and entertainment and the blend of both is what we call an Aamir Khan movie.

2016: A YEAR OF SPORTS FILMS

First of all Sultan (300 Crore) than MS Dhoni (133 Crore) and recently Dangal which is still running in the theaters and already become the 2 nd  highest grosser of the year, this year is surely all about Sports Drama films. Other films which are also Sports oriented were Azhar, Freaky Ali, Do Lafzon Ki Kahani but these films didn’t do well at the box office. 2017 also gonna saw some most awaited sports films like Sachin: A Billion Dreams. If we look at this year business wise then it’s a very bad year and demonetization at the end make it even worse. Only eight films manage to mint profit for its makers that why I consider to look at this year Content wise, Films like Udta Punjab, Pink, Dear Zindagi, Neerja, Dangal, and Airlift are the examples. Even performances of the actors like Amitabh, Alia, Shahid, Vidya, Aamir, Fawad, and SRK were more valuable then-then few more Crore.
